Project Clean Stream, an annual stream and shoreline clean-up, takes place Saturday, April 5, 2008, 9am to Noon at the former Davidson Farm just east of Old Love Point Park in Stevensville. The property, which is part of the Cox Creek Watershed area, was purchased by the Queen Anne’s County in response to appeals from the athletic community that more playing fields are needed for youth sports. Demand for playing fields has grown exponentially by soccer, field hockey, baseball, softball, lacrosse and football teams. This newly acquired parkland will accommodate many of those needs, however; first the site needs a major clean-up. We are seeking volunteers, specifically coaches, players and their families to join forces and volunteer just 3 hours of their time, 9 a.m. to Noon, on April 5th to pick up trash. Gloves, bags, first aid supplies, and site sign provided by the Directions:
To volunteer your team, please contact Leslie at QAC Parks & Recreation 410-758-0835 or lcrook@qac.org

Many thanks and best wishes to outgoing KIYSL Vice President, Bill Brenner. Bill's contributions over the years have been far too numerous to count! We truly appreciate your dedicated service to the league. |

We have had
some problems with parents not showing up to work the shift for which they had
volunteered. Four (4) parents MUST show up to run the concession stand.
Coaches or team concession coordinators are asked to call and remind their
team's volunteers. Thanks for your understanding and assistance correcting
this situation.
